Hi Urban504! Maggie, Shopify Partner here :)

You have a defined niche, which is excellent. At first, when you land on the homepage, it’s hard to tell what you’re selling though, as the only image you see is the BFCM promo

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 07.24.52.png

Only after someone decides to scroll down, they can see your fabulous diffusers. You have great promo images showing your products in your sliding banner, so consider showing one of them as the first image, so people see it right away as they land on your website. That’s a much better way to engage with your audience and invite them to browse your products.

The collections list and featured collection look great!

About us page has excellent info. Consider making it even more SEO friendly with internal links and H tags.

Homepage - consider making it more SEO-friendly to rank for your main keywords:

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 07.26.25.png

You can also use one of these keywords to get found in the most relevant search results:

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 07.27.30.png

Your page meta title is not defined yet:

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 07.28.16.png

It’s a string of unrelated keywords, which may negatively affect your SEO. Make sure to use one of your target keywords, like “aromatherapy diffusers” as H1 tag, instead of your brand name - people are more likely to search for diffusers in Google, so your traffic will increase this way.

Contact us page - consider adding a short paragraph to this page. Few sentences such as: “Contact us now with any questions. Email us at [your email address] or fill in the form below and press “Send message”. We will get back to you within 24 hours.” will feel more personal and be inviting for people to reach out and contact you.

Make sure to add trust signals as well: Shipping policy and returns policy. These can also help you improve your conversion rate. Many online shoppers often look for this info before placing an order, to find out the shipping cost, or contact details, so having these pages easy to find can also help you boost your conversion rate.

Your URLs are not SEO friendly - make sure to make them shorter and easier for Google to read. E.g. this URL: https://www.urbandiffusers.com/collections/diffusers/products/400ml-grapefruit-ultrasonic-humidifier...

It is too long. Consider changing it to:

https://www.urbandiffusers.com/collections/diffusers/products/grapefruit-usb-air-purifier

As you can see it’s much easier for Google to read, and therefore easier to rank it too.

Social media icons - all link to 404 error page. Consider checking and updating the links.

Your SEO score is 41/100

Your meta title and meta descriptions [Google snippets] are not defined:

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 07.37.19.png

It means your website will have generic info displayed in the search results, which might not give you the best chance to stand out in the search results. Having a catchy Google snippet can help you connect with more people in Google and drive free and organic traffic, so make sure to optimize these values.

Image alt tags - make sure to add descriptive SEO friendly alt tags to each new image you upload:

Screen Shot 2019-12-03 at 07.40.27.png

That’s a great way to improve your SEO [Google will be able to understand what each image represents] and make your website more accessible for the users who browse with images switched off.

You have 49 broken links on your website:

Make sure to fix them, as they might cause a lot of lost visitors and sales.

If you found these tips useful, please leave a 5* review on my TrustPilot profile. Thank you!

Hi @Urban504

Your product pages need a lot of work. Also the theme you're using isn't the best free theme you could be using. I did some videos on themes and apps you could get some tips from HERE or https://www.inspiresmallbusiness.com/blogs/shopify

Keep up the good work

Hi @Urban504

Overall I think your shopify store looks pretty good, But I noticed a couple of things that you might consider adding.

After carefully reviewing I don't see an always visible buy button. Your buy button is the most important button on your site and it should always be within the thumbs reach of the customer. Take a look at your store (especially on your phone), and try to easily find your buy button, especially when you are on the bottom of the page. If your buy button isn't always visible you are making it harder for your customer to buy. Consider adding https://apps.shopify.com/better-sticky-checkout-button-increase-your-sales , it will help it make it easier for your customer to buy from you.

Did you think about adding a blog. A blog could be used to drive more traffic to your store, and you could also use it to recommend potential products that your customer could buy.

Also I noticed that you don't have a FAQ section. Customers often times will want a lot of information before they make a decision to purchase. Adding an FAQ section with information about things like shipping rates, returns, and anything else relevant can help your customer more easily make a decision to purchase

You might consider adding reviews. If you add reviews it will help keep your customers on your site. If your customer needs to leave your site to do research on a product they might not come back, adding reviews can help with that.

After looking I couldn't find a sense of urgency. One of the main reasons why people don't buy from a store is because they feel like they can buy it whenever. A big thing that can help more of your visitors be turned into buyers would be by adding a sense of urgency to your store. One way to add urgency is to have a sale, and all sales need an end date. You can easily add a sale to your store with a countdown timer. One countdown timer that I recommend is https://apps.shopify.com/better-countdown .

Nice job on your all of your hard work so far, and I'm sure that just a few minor changes will really help.

Just so you know (I had to do it), I wrote a series of emails https://mailchi.mp/7d8692283c12/shopify-conversion-course that might help you with some tips for making your store better (I get into the weeds there).

Thank you for the feedback. I actually do have a blog and an FAQ section. It's on the side menu but that also tells me that I need to move those sections to a better place on the store.

@Urban504 @  I just want to say that I thought your website looked fantastic, wonderful pictures, nicely laid out.  I am surprised by the feedback you have received regarding your website.  I'm not a web-designer so not sure about the feedback given to you about broken links etc (very technical feedback), but the feedback you received from MS-WEBDESIGNER was not only so off the mark, but it appears they give that same feedback to everyone - to say your website is badly design is joke.  Reading the feedback you have received has put me off seeking feedback as maybe some are just looking for work and criticising unnecessarily.

The only thing that would put me off buying from your store is the long wait for delivery (up to 4 weeks) - would make me think you don't stock anything and only buy when someone orders.  I'd do my best to shorten the wait time somehow.

All the best with your shop, I really liked your niche

@Yasmin70 Thank you for your feedback as well and as far as my site design goes i guess either you love it or hate it. I love it an I worked really hard on it and i appreciate all the technical feedback cause it only makes my site that much better. About my products i am a dropshipper and with amazon its become difficult to run a store when amazon is delivering same day or two days its tough. Im trying to keep physical stock to cut down on shipping times but the wait is killing me though.
