Hello,
My name is Dave. Founder of July. I would appreciate any feedback on my store.
According to the Shopify app I am getting a lot of traffic, but basically no online sales. Not sure if these are bots, or real people visiting our store, but it is frustrating to say the least.
Anyway, I started July about 2 years ago as a personal outlet for my design ideas. We are based in the the San Francisco Bay Area. USA. We have done well at local craft shows, but the online world has been tough. If you had any ideas for my store, and online presence I would greatly appreciate it.
Looking forward to your feedback. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Dave,
Congratulations for your store!
Hope following suggestions will help you
Hi @DaveJuly
After spending few minutes on your homepage, I have some recommendations that you can apply to boost up your store.
1. Make header sticky
This would be more convenient for all users if they're scrolling up and down in your store. They still can access to another section during surfing and easily checking what inside Cart right now or searching for a specific item.
2. Hero banner
For the first time I access into your store, I don't know exactly what type of unique products that you are selling, T-shirts or Wall Art. I would recommend you add a hero banner for customer to easier know what exactly you are selling. A call-to-action button inside hero banner could be a better way to boost your conversion rate.
On homepage, you should only display some products on sale or top-selling products, you don't need to spread out all of products you have cause it will be listed in product's listing page.
3. Add subscribe section
For anyone want to follow your store to keep notified about promotions, new products,... you can add a form filed for them to subscribe.
Hope that my suggestions may help you in some way. Furthermore, you can check this article to know how to optimize your homepage.
Cheer!
Hey Dave,
I agree with the other posters here to fix some of those issues. But right now we can only point out things we see.
There's a lot of the process we can't see.
My advice is to start tracking your data and then make the changes and see if it impacts your metrics. You need to look at it from different perspectives not just conversion rate, but bounce rate, time on page, cart abandonment rate, and product detail view rate at the minimum to understand what can be improved. We also do video replays, so you will be able to collect replay videos of your customers, journey through your website to know who, why, where your customers are dropping off. Time to stop doing guess work.
If you would like, I can provide a free analytics consultation which involves:
If you are interested just send me your email in a private message and we can work together more efficiently via email.
If you have any questions, I'm open to being fully transparent. I'm really just looking for some positive reviews for my app.
Cheers
Hi @DaveJuly !
Welcome to Shopify and I wish you good luck!
Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. [I recommend using one by Growave., because it is safe and it is integrated with 6 other marketing features (Reviews, Wishlist, Rewards, Social Login, Instagram, Discounts, Referral, VIP tiers) for better performance.
Hopefully, I managed to help you. If so, please let me know by liking this post.
