Hello ,
I recently launched my business and I would like feedback in terms of how my site appears and any other suggestions. www.ikanstyle.com
Hey @IKanstyle,
I've taken a look through your store and there are a lot of thing I like about your store. One thing specifically was on the homepage, you have 3 photos of models and then have a "shop the look" button, well done! I have a few suggestions on things I noticed as I looked through, I hope you find this feedback helpful :).
First impression, I noticed a lot of things vying for my attention upon landing. I had a gift pop up, a membership pop up (behind the gift pop up), a notification request, the chat box in the right-hand corner and then the "Shop the look" ticker in the tab bar.
When I click X on those pop ups, they appear again when I go to another page:
When you are contemplating adding these things to your website, think of it like a map. When the person first lands we don't want to present them with several moving, bright colored things that say "do this! click this! sign up for this! see this!" Instead you want to think, okay, what are my top three priorities for this visit? For example, it might be: 1. Make a sale 2. Get a newsletter sign up 3. Have them follow me on social media. Filter every app option through the filter of - does it achieve one of these goals or does it distract from one of these goals. Then the next step is presenting them strategically at the right time on the right page.
I'd recommend adding a Favicon, we show you how to do this in our video:
My next suggestion is to add additional product photos that show models wearing each pair of lashes.
I would also prioritize getting product reviews. Follow up with happy customers and encourage them to leave you a review. On that note, the product review portion isn't displaying properly. You have an even amount of whitespace on either side of the rest of your store, the product reviews portion is going outside that "box" and it looks off. We do offer store tweaks so if that's something you want us to fix, you can email us at ecomgeeksco@gmail.com.
My last recommendation is to spend some time on your SEO. By default, Shopify will pull your product titles and descriptions and use that as your SEO (that is what is happening in your case). A common mistake in SEO is using the wrong words. You have your lashes named things like "Chelsea Glam Lash" or "Hyped Glam Lash" which are fine names, but not for SEO. You have to include words that a person trying to find your product would search in Google. We created a video walking you through how to do your SEO:
We hope our response was helpful, if it was, let us know by giving us a thumbs up and/or marking it as a solution!
Best of luck!
Hey @IKanstyle
I just browsed through your website. I think it is really good and easy to use.
Here are some things I noticed, I hope you find them useful;
Your quick view does not load images
Also, I think this Free Shipping bar is vital information and should be placed where visitors will always see it. I would recommend placing it on the left of your top header beside the Instagram social icon and currency converter.
Hello @IKanstyle, I hope you are doing good! Sachin here, from the AiTrillion Team at Shopify. Thanks for posting! I've taken a look at your store, and see that your store's overall appearance is visually appealing, and your branding is well done. I do also have a few suggestions to offer you:
- Make sure to enable automatic workflow emails/push for abandoned cart, win back old customers, welcome email, purchase follow-up, or browse abandoned customers.
- Collect more reviews by sending automatic review request emails and give loyalty points for better conversion.
- Use triggers and workflows to automatically send messages to consumers after they take a specific action.
- Setup an affiliate marketing program to increase your influencers and it will help to increase sellers.
- Add a web push notification - It turns visitors into subscribers and subscribers into customers. It’s a powerful and effective marketing tool adopted by online businesses to reach out to and interact with their audience, keep them updated about any important information, announcing sales and offers, and eventually driving more eCommerce conversions.
Moreover, if you would like to implement the above customer engagement features/ marketing tools in your store I suggest trying out the 'All in one' Shopify app AiTrillion, a full-fledged marketing solution. It will help you to capture visitors coming to your store and will help in getting more conversions.
Hope this helps!
