GrandenHouse Smart Home Electronics - Brighten up your living space


Hello. I'm owner of site www.grandenhouse.com

We have been working hard to bring customers the best and newest items in Smart Home section. We offer many home electronics for the best prices and very fast shipping in USA/CA.

Currently, we have tried to launch only Instagram ads without any success, but we are working on our new ads and are going to set-up our marketing strategy this time.

I would highly appreciate any feedback on the store and some tips about marketing this site.

Your store looks excellent - I can see the hard work you have put in. I like the Christmas theme promo image on the homepage - consider optimizing it further to convert:

Link it to one of your collections [such as Smart Home] in order to prompt people to click and browse. It will help you engage with your visitors and invite them to browse your products, which is a great way to increase conversion rate [sales].

 

Refund policy - consider writing a unique policy here instead of featuring default Shopify policy, which mentions items you are not selling:

As you click on the 'Catalog' link the top row displays three almost identical products:

Consider adding variety here and show your most popular [most viewed] items at the top. The top part of each page - so called "above the fold" section - is the best place to convert. Don't waste this area to display the same products - make sure to utilize it well to increase sales.

 

Shipping policy - that’s an important trust signal, so consider adding this page. Include a table with the delivery rates at the top, so people know right away how much you are charging, and whether you ship internationally or not. Many online shoppers often look for this info before placing an order, to find out the shipping cost, so having a detailed policy can also help you boost your conversion rate.

H tags - you're using only H2 tags. H tags carry the most SEO value for Google, so use them to contain your most important keywords:

Ideally, you’d want to start with H1 tag [the most important for Google, and usually assigned to the product titles] and then H2-H3-H4 and so on.

 

Also, make sure to SEO optimize each page [and blog post] on your website with SEO friendly H tags, internal and external links, compress the images, add alt tags and link tags, add Geotags, optimize Google snippets, make your URLs SEO friendly and more. It’s essential to optimize your website from the very start [or as early as possible] to help you rank quicker for your target keywords. Overall, you have a very nice design clean design and layout, with a decent niche idea.  Here are some initial thoughts;
- add a 1 800 # (vanity) such as 1 833 GRANDEN
- any price guarantee you can offer 
- indicate product warranties/return guarantees etc
- delivery promise (3 to 5 day delivery) in header?
- pop-up to offer discount and grab email for drip/remarketing

- offer a 2 for 1 or bundle or buy one get one free promo


Layout Suggestions
- place your best selling (margin) product in top header
- place top products on home page vs collection images

- don't give more than 3 product choices in a category, it will confure shoppers

 

Content Related
- expand on details on where you are, where you ship from and returns
- customer testimonials at bottom don't look too trustworthy (the best reviews mention your name or store)


Social Proof
- you really need Sales Popups to show/demonstrate traffic/customer activity (shamless app plug :) => https://apps.shopify.com/gravy)
- written testimonials with photos are ideal
- what is your competitive difference? Fast shipping? If so give them a guarantee and have a customer say this was fast
- you need more product photos for some of your products (I saw only 2 for some) and videos are key if available

Hi, I'm new at this, too.
Here are a few suggestions that may help, though.

1. You dont have any products on your homepage. Put a featured collection before the product reviews. It will help your customers know what you're selling... because I didn't.
2. Your notification banner should follow on your catalog page, so the customer contantly knows what promotions are running... because i had to go back to the home page to look. This makes people abandon their cart.
3. I would suggest at least 12 products on a page rather than 8. Seeing that I have to go through 14 pages of products with only 8 items seems exhausting to me. That's loading time that could be spent adding products to my cart.
