Hey, @TheCBDHaven_com

First of all, welcome to Shopify! I'm happy to see you have started your business venture on the Shopify platform. With that said, I'd be happy to lend you a few tips and insights. I've gone ahead and skimmed through your website, here are a couple things that stood out to me, starting from the top:

The main menu: 20-02-90m0z-430jj

Your main menu should be devoted exclusively to Shopping. Break out your categories so that your customers can see them all at a glance. Don't just hide everything behind a single 'SHOP' dropdown. The result should be reflected in an increased add-to-cart rate. You can take this a step further by investing in a third-party Mega Menu app, such as Buddha Mega Menu. It is a feature-rich app that offers a wide variety of great features. Feel free to check out their app demo, here. There are a variety of other Mega Menu options in our app store that you can check out as well. However I have personal experience using Buddha, and I like it a lot!

Your section organization: 20-02-xtymt-0w683

The layout of your homepage is crucial in terms of enticing visitors to become customers by being able to find what they are looking for as soon as possible and develop a liking to your business brand. In the above screenshot, I have numbered the order of the sections I would do in your situation. I think it's key to show your product categories and best sellers at the top of the page instead of a newsletter signup and brand stock section. Those sections are useful to have, but your products should always be front and center on the website.

This takes me to my next point - building a strong brand. Branding involves developing a compelling, positive and lasting image of your business that creates an emotional connection with your customers. The strength of your company’s brand could mean the difference between struggling for recognition and sales or thriving as a dynamic, best-in-class business. This can seem like a daunting task at first, lucky for you we got ya covered! We discuss several key aspects of branding in our branding articles hub. This will take you from A-Z for developing and executing a brand that thrives. Not sure where to start? How to build a brand in 7 steps is a terrific starting point. I'd love to hear more about the direction you would like to take/achieve as far as your 'brand voice' goes.

Let me know if this all helps. If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Hi @TheCBDHaven_com ,

I can see that you have information about shipping, Returns & Refunds, which are all very important to have and increase trust with shoppers.

Here are some ideas you might want to consider :

1) You can add Instagram feed for promotions.

2) Customer testimonials should be added as they increase customer trust.

3) Newsletter shouldn't be placed just after the navigation menu. You can place it at bottom or somewhere middle on the page.

4) Categorize products on homepage like Featured Collections,  Latest Arrivals etc.

5) You may want to think about adding product reviews. Reviews are essential for any Ecommerce store as it helps sell more and creates immediate trust with shoppers. Be sure to check out our review app.

You can read more about our app here. And also see some of our display widgets in action on our demo site.

Hello,
Looks like a nice clean design and layout, well done!  Just a few suggestions re adding some more customer service options.  I'd suggest;

- online chat, like Tidio or FB Messenger

- 1 800 # like RingCentral.com or similar

- adding some social proof pop-ups (add to cart also)

- adding some reviews / testimonials

- I'd suggest for your email popup to remove the name requirement

Looks pretty solid though, well done!

If you are family owned business in Chicago, it would be good to list who you are on your about us page. People like buying from other people and this would give your business personal touch. You have a great store so far and there are only a few things I would tweak and change:

Homepage Feedback

    1. Not sure the picture of the beach and coconut go with your brand. Feels a bit random

    2. You already have a search bar by the cart symbol, not sure you need the "Search" link in your navigation. I might also move About Us and Contact Us to the foot because then you could have a drop down menu for shopping by Brand, CBD Type and Product. I feel having each of those 3 as a single drop down would make the site look cleaner

    3. Consider adding a Featured Product section on the homepage (i.e. Product Of The Month). Pick one products and tell people why you picked it and what makes it great

Product Page  Feedback

    1. Add a section for customer reviews when you get them. This helps build social proof and makes it easier for people to trust your brand. Ask past customers for reviews is a great way to get this started

    2. Not a huge thing but there is a lot of empty white space under your product images...might be worth thinking about how to remove it or use it if you redesign your product page layouts one day

Your store just needs some tweaks to take it up a level. Hope you found this helpful, if so please click "like" below to let me know.

Thank you very much for your help!  Very good points. Will review and start implementing over the next couple of days.

The only issue is with customer reviews/testimonials. My Merchant Processor and Liability Insurance providers prohibit making any health or medical claims about CBD.  I am afraid if I allow customers to review the products, they will discuss how it helped with their anxiety/sleep/inflammation, etc.,.  I will have to delete those comments.  That will be as if I’m censoring them.  I would hate to do that.

Hello @TheCBDHaven_com,

You are having a really great store. It looks very clean and organized. Here are some suggestions which will help you to get conversions and sales:-

1. The first fold of the website should always have a call to action in it -

And here’s why; in most cases placing the CTA above the fold works wonders for your campaigns. This placement immediately draws your visitors’ attention to your CTA which is always good for conversions.

2. You can start giving loyalty points to your customers on different activities like signing up, visiting a store, making a purchase, allowing for push notifications. This will help you to entice your customers and retain them. You can reward your customers in order to redeem those points. When you will give points to them they will come again in the future to make a purchase in order to redeem those points. This encourages repeat purchases which increase sales and helps in retaining your customers.

3. Add reviews and Q&A to establish authority and influence visitors with user-generated content. Turn your customer content into sales by collecting and leveraging reviews, ratings, and Q&A. Collect reviews and display them.

4. Add a referral program. Referral marketing is a cost-effective way to gain new and loyal customers. Because people are social creatures, individuals that are referred to your company are much more likely to remain loyal customers.

5. Chatbot- You should welcome new visitors, boost your customer engagement, deliver personalized recommendations and much more. Give customers instant answers 24/7 with the help of the live ChatBot.

If you would like to implement all these on your store I would suggest you to install AiTrillion.com. It has all the features in a single app and is a fully integrated app. It is all in one Shopify app. Plus you don't need to install multiple apps. You can check it out. I am sure you will find it useful.
