We just redesigned the store and started using the Venture theme. The website is www.lichadiamonds.com.

Would love your feedback - and anything we can do to improve. First impressions? What would make you feel comfortable in making a purchase?

I have worked with a few jewelry brands and my feedback will be based on that knowledge. Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase.


Homepage Feedback

    1. Carousels & sliders have been proven to kills conversions rates ...limit how much you use the one on your site. No one is going to wait around to see what is on each sliders

    2. I would clean up the design of your homepage and show less product. Show less product but make it your best selling items. Make some product images a bit bigger, so it's easier to see the diamonds

    3. Maybe I missed it but I could not easily find a contact form or an email to send you my questions. Not everyone is going to want to use a chat box

    4. Make sure the main product images for each product has the same theme / style as some have white vs non-white background right now. This is going to help tie your site together when people are looking at your collection pages

    5. Consider adding a Featured Product section on the homepage (i.e. Jewelry Of The Month). Pick one products and tell people why you picked it and what makes it great

Product Page  Feedback

    1. Make sure each product has 3 - 5 images as that will help someone decide if they want to purchase. A lot of products I saw only had 1 or 2 images

    2. Add a section for customer reviews when you get them. This helps build social proof and makes it easier for people to trust your brand. Ask past customers for reviews is a great way to get this started

First impression is formed primarily at the above the fold area.



If you look at your page, the two large boxes are occupying a considerable area and blocking the content behind. This area should only be leveraged to feature the available collection and inform people of the product types available. 


I suggest you minimize these boxes to the smallest size, even consider dismissing or moving it to the bottom. A majority of visitors to your homepage are cold traffic, who are getting to know your brand and exploring the store. These people are yet to be sales-ready. For them, your one-size-fit-all coupon box  would be annoying and irrelevant.

The store really looks quite classy. The central banners really look amazing and eye-catching. Some of my suggestions for store improvement  are as follows:

  1. Instagram images should be added for better brand promotion.
  2. "Support, About Us,  Testimonials, Newsletter"-This must be the order for placement of footer components.
  3. Social links should be placed below all the footer components.
  4. All discounted items need to be placed in a seperate "discount" section.
  5. You can also install one of the most popular app Growwave which is all in one marketing platform that helps store owners increase conversions with ease.
  6.  Finally, I would also recommend replacing the default search with an advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction, and other such features. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users.
