There could be many reasons, I recommend having a look at the following policies:

https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112?hl=en

https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6363310?hl=en

https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/4752265?hl=en

https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6149970?hl=en

The most common issues are:

  1. Not adding full contact details page linked from the footer (email, phone number, address, contact form): https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6363310?hl=en

  2. Not having a valid checkout: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/9158778?hl=en

  3. Not having returns and refund, delivery, privacy policy and terms of service pages

  4. Selling products that are not allowed: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6150006

  5. Selling products that are not stocked: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6150127#:~:text=Unavailable%20promotions

  6. Not adding any added content, and simply copy-pasting other sites

  7. Having multiple websites in the same niche

  8. Not being honest with what you sell or how you portray the business

  9. Having a low trust factor or no track record of order fullfilment

You can ask Google for specific examples of policy violation. To do so ask here and check the box, I need more info https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/suspended

Hope this helps.

Hi.

I've been having the same problem. When I request specific reasons for misrepresentation, they tell me untrustworthy or inaccurate promotions. But I have never offered any promotion or run any ads. I ask them for the specific promotion, and they never reply.

On another note, all my products are showing as disapproved. Could this be a separate issue or could it be  that my products are disapproved because my account was suspended for "misrepresentation" and once this is settle the products will be okay?

If Google does not want to explain the reason, then the only option for you is to read the policies. Or hire someone to do it for you.

For my clients analyzing this issue is a big task, and requires a good understanding of the policies, ie experience. It also involves trust factors, simply following policies will not do.

Did you manage to fix this?

I am having the same issue, I am told my account has been suspended due to "Misrepresentation" but they don't tell me what that is. I see some truly shocking websites in Google Shopping that definitely don't adhere to their policies...

If it's any help to anyone, install some stats tracking on your website and look for hits from INDIA. This is where the Google staff are based. Every time I appeal my decision I watch them come on my site, click on a few pages, then exit. 2 mins later I get the automated "Misrepresentation" email suspending me again. It is madness that they cannot type out a couple of words to give me a helping hand, and being in the EU myself, my only hope is that they get sued for a couple of $billion again. I really despise this company.

Have you considered that they do not want to share the reason.

From my years of experience, if Google does not share the reason, it's either you are suspended for life, the violation is very serious and in these cases don't want you to find ways to circumvent policy violation.

If you feel you are 100% genuine, simply read the policies, by doing this you can find what your issues are.

Asking on the community how others have fixed it, will not help you. Because each website, merchant and business is different.

Please note I do understand your situation. I just want to be honest and upfront with you. Better to know the real deal, then get answer that make you wonder.

So my advise, take the time to read Google's policies.

I've read the policies to the point of being able to quote them word for word. The Livechat people cannot find any fault with my website.

If I was suspended for life then why are they visiting my website to review it?

In that case, you might not be permanently suspended. I do not know. It sounds to me based on your info, that these are automated systems. But could be a manual review. We the public will not really know.

If you have read all the policies, then I guess there is nothing that can be done. You can share your site and I'm happy to have a quick look.

Please also note that as of April 2020, trust factors are considered. This means if you have a low trust value, you will not get approved. So your site can be 100% perfect, but if your trust values are low, then you need to work on this.
