Hello everyone! I’m new to Shopify and I would really appreciate some feedback on my store. I opened my store a few weeks ago and have had a few visitors the first few days and no visitors the past 2 weeks. Not one sale yet! Any feedback would be greatly appreciative. Thank you all so much! Here is my store.

Congrats on the new store. Building consistent traffic to your store takes time if you are not using paid ads to build traffic. Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase.

 

Homepage Feedback

  1. Carousels have been proven to kills conversions rates ...limit how much you use the one on your site. No one is going to wait around to see what is on each sliders

  2. All your Featured Collection photos look exactly the same, making it hard to tell product apart. I would work on ways to show off different versions of each bath product

  3. I would take some information about why you started the store from your about us and put it on the homepage

  4. Add links to your footer for FAQ to help people understand what makes your soaps different

  5. The free shipping messaging at the top gets lost. Maybe show this off in a pop or just make the text in a different colour or with a coloured background

Product Page Feedback

  1. Add links to your shipping and return/refund policy on each product page

  2. Add a section for customer reviews when you get them

  3. Add a longer product description as this is how you convince someone to buy on your site. Sell the lifestyle behind this product

  4. Add a section at the bottom of product pages to show your most viewed/bought items from the site. This can help increase your average order value and make your store more money

  5. I would work on your product images as your grow the business. This really help sell your brand and make people want to buy. You want people to feel wowed or happy when they look at your photos.

Hi there,

 

Do you make your own products? They're so cute! I also love that they're vegan and cruelty free. Here's my feedback:

  • Your home page has too many images and isn't much of a home page. Here's what you want to show case in a homepage: what products you're selling, why they're special, etc. It's basically like a first impression. Only then do you get into the details of all the different products your customers can purchase. So, basically delete all of the images, and take a few compelling images of your different collections together. Add some flowers, some slightly dramatic lighting, basically make your images as enticing as they can be. The closeups are great for individual products, but when you're trying to show what your store is about you want to do it in a bigger way, if that makes sense. 
  • Instead of "fast shipping," try telling your customers something that they want to hear, rather than expect to hear. For example, could you do free shipping? Maybe 15% off for new customers? Also, make it a color other than white. A very pale lavender would add more dimension to your website.
  • Since your store is small and seemingly homemade, it may not be a a bad idea to include your mission at the end. It looks kind of cozy.
  • Here's an example of what I mean so far;

  • I'd love some more information and pictures on your "About" page. People really connect to visuals and I'm sure that a lot can relate to your story.
  • At the end, I would take out "Handmade Vegan Cruelty Free" and the newsletter. I'd include the newsletter centered right above the bottom links.
  • I'd move "About" and "Contact" to the side menu. I would also move "Search" there too.
  • A contact form might be a little better on your "Contact" page.
  • On "Shipping & Returns," I would bold the subtitles and left-center them.
  • The first image on your "Products" page is bigger than the other ones.
  • What makes each product different? Are they always sold in three packs? Maybe you could sell them as six packs, or do different collections and styles. It's a little hard to choose between them because they look similar.
  • I'd remove "Create Account" from the side menu and also take out the division so you have all of your links together.
  • There's too big a space between "Buy It Now" and your product description. Also, make sure to bold your fonts if you're talking about different things (Ingredients, How To) so that it doesn't look like a wall of text.

Overall, lots of potential here! It's just a matter of presenting yourself a little better so that prospective customers see the value your products have right away.

  • Your logo is absolutely adorable!

Homepage

  • If the social media icons/links at the footer can be opened at the new tab instead of the same tab upon click. This will ensure your visitors/customers stay on your store while checking out your social media presence.

Product

  • You have plenty of quality images, and you use your own photos, which is very strong selling point.

Contact Page: I'd add contact form

Featured Collection: One of the images isn't the same size as the rest. "Assorted Bath Bombs 3 Pack" I'd change this.

 

Main Menu: I'd add contact and about pages

 

Blogs: I'd add at least three blog posts adding value to your customers

 

Home Page: Lots of blank space on your home page. Have less blank space.
