Hi guys!
I was wondering if anyone would care to look at my store and provide feedback before I officially launch it on Friday (9/11/20!). I have been sharing it on my personal social media pages and have about 50 subscribers so far so I scheduled an "official launch" email to send on 9/10 that includes a 15% off coupon for the first 15 customers (though I'll be overjoyed if I get even one!).

Here is the preview link if anyone cares to give feedback on the overall look/theme of the website!
Thanks
It's a brilliant idea for a niche. I am really interested and would love to give you feedback
Few things you can do quickly to improve your store's appearance and trust:
- Add favicon to your store https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/os/using-themes/change-the-layout/theme-settings/add... It's easy to do and good for branding, as well as, helps visitors differentiate your store in browser.
- Edit your copy a bit for the banner: I think it’s more appropriate to be presented in a section later in Home page or in About us page. The text is long and not to the point, the text is bit hard to read on the light color image background => I suggest a shorter copy and straight to the point like: Matching and coordinating outfits for our lovely twinkies
- For home page: I think it's better if we can show our product diversity. So I think you can have 1 more section of Born solo. I believe all moms and dads would love to see some more cutie as well
- If possible, it's always good to increase brand credibility with social proof, reviews and rating, testimonials and trust badges (you might hear a lot about it already
- If you’re hoping to convey a highly original brand image since day 1, you can consider removing Powered by Shopify in your store. You can easily do it with a guide from here https://pagefly.io/blogs/shopify/remove-powered-by-shopify-2-easy-methods
I really like your idea and wish you a very successful launching on 9/10!!

Hey there, @borntwogether!
Ryder here, from the Social Care Team at Shopify. Thanks for posting, and congratulations on your upcoming launch - how exciting! I've taken a look at your shop's preview, and I'd love to offer my feedback on what you have so far and what comes next.
Feedback
To start - I absolutely love the name of your business, "Born Twogether". You've clearly identified a pain point that I'm sure many fraternal twin-parents have - and you've created a solution! The fact that you are your ideal target market will prove to be helpful when it comes to marketing. In fact, I'd love to learn more about your story - and a great place to share your story is on an About Us page. An About Us page should include who you are, why you are (the pain points your target market is experiencing), what you sell (the solution to their problem), and what your mission is. Packaged on this page, your story is a great way to build rapport and trust in your brand with new visitors. Check out this guide to learn more about how you can captivate visitors with an About Us page.
You may want to move some of the content you have from the Home Page banner to the About Us page as well. The reason I suggest that is that it can be challenging for individuals with visual impairments to read. Making your shop as accessible and easy as possible to navigate for visitors is important for building that rapport and turning those visitors into customers. Our Accessibility for themes guides touches on some other ways you can ensure your shop is accessible. You could also consider increasing the opacity of the background image using Photoshop or an online tool to contrast with the text. I will often use Lunapic for quick simpler edits like this. We don't support third-party online tools; however, I've recorded a video for you here in case you were wanting to utilize the gradient filter.
Also on your Home Page, I noticed that you included your shipping policy. While this makes it convenient for a new visitor who is just arriving to your Home Page and scrolling through, it can be difficult to locate for someone who is on any other page in your store. I suggest adding it as a store policy instead of, or in addition to, where you currently have that information.
Your product images are great, do you make the products yourself or are you outsourcing products from a supplier? Have you thought about including some images of your products being modeled? I noticed that you've watermarked your images with your brand name, is there a reason you've done that? I only ask as the watermark was distracting me from the actual image of your product and I'd like to better understand why you chose to include that for some of your images.
On your size guide page, the table appears to be a little blurry. Check out our this guide for more information on the best image formats and dimensions. You may also be interested in checking out our Store design courses in Shopify Compass for some more tips.
What comes next
Once launched, you'll want to start focusing on driving traffic to your store. Have you already developed a marketing plan? What ways are you planning on reaching your target audience? If you haven't already, Creating a Buyer Persona can help you with really zeroing in on who your audience is and the kinds of lives they lead. Are they on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter? Is your business on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter?
If you decide to utilize any of these channels, it may be a good idea to also include links to them on your shop as well for "social proof". This can be done within the Theme Editor under Settings > Social media:
Here you'll be able to select a social media sharing image, edit their settings, and add links to your social media accounts.
A good initial goal we recommend merchants start off with is receiving at least 1000 online store sessions in the last 30 days. You can tailor your report to set a Last 30 days date range, or view your sessions over time Acquisition report. Once you've reached 1000 online store sessions, you'll want to refer to your conversion rate. Every business is different, but in general terms, we like to see our merchants' stores range between a 2-4% conversion rate. If you find that your conversion rate is lower than this, don't hesitate to reach back out to the Shopify Community or contact our Support Team for some business coaching.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if there's anything I can clarify.
Cheers.

Hi @borntwogether !
Welcome to Shopify and I wish you good luck!
Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. [I recommend using one by Growave., because it is safe and it is integrated with 6 other marketing features (Reviews, Wishlist, Rewards, Social Login, Instagram, Discounts, Referral, VIP tiers) for better performance.
Hopefully, I managed to help you. If so, please let me know by liking this post.
Hey there @borntwogether ! Great niche and great initiative out there .. here's what I suggest -
1. Guess you forgot to do the right image here! It's not a good image .. Always include HD images for a better look/feel at your store.
2. I guess you forgot to add a favicon to your store!
You can also add CTAs in your store like - adding a spinwheel where a customer gets an assured discount!
I'm from CedCommerce - a team of coders and marketing enthusiasts who help eCommerce entrepreneurs with store set-up and customizations!
We'll be happy to assist you with any kind of customization; add-ons or planning out sales/marketing/social media strategy!
As a Shopify store owner, you need to know the course of your journey!
It's going to help you throughout your time in the eCommerce!
Ps. We're just a message away!
Wish you luck with your Shopify store journey! Cheers! .-.
Dear @borntwogether,
I really love your websites, the babies' clothes look really cute. I believe that they will sell like hotcakes.
The only thing I will advise you is the banner. To myself, I would like a more simple background under the text so that I can read the description more clearly.
Also, it would be better to add some labels to your products to show off your gift, say, "15% off for the first 15 buyers". If you want to add one, you can use our app Product Labels.
Hope you might be interested and have a look.
