what does 'Direct' mean?

It says we are getting sales from 'Direct' what does it mean?

Direct traffic is when your visitor types in your web address to go straight to your store. Perhaps they previously found you via Social Media and remembered your domain name when they accessed your store from a different internet connection.

Hi, does direct include SEO? As in they search for your store on Google and go direct to your store?

I'm trying to distinguish if my SEO strategy would be contributing to my direct traffic or search traffic.

Please let me know where SEO would be measured.

No, traffic from google will be presented in Google Analytics as "google / organic", and that's how you measure the results of your SEO campaigns.

If you read GA report, direct and google organic are separated clearly.
