Online store performance and site speed optimization
Dear wonderful people!
Can you tell me how I can improve the speed of the online store?
Maybe there are applications that can help the novice developer?
- For example, that can remove garbage
My store: https://overz.co/
Theme Brooklyn
Thank you!

There's not really an app yet to make it easy to optimize a shopify site.
All the apps currently on the app store that claim to speed up a site really only pre-cache pages when a user hovers over a link.
So you can either learn enough web development and do it yourself, or hire someone to do it for you.
I would personally recommend you wait till your making enough sales that a improving your speed will give you a noticeable sales improvement, then hire a capable developer.
This is an accepted solution.
Hi @Airika_Bali I agree with @oreoorbitz about the points of apps and optimization. You need a developer to do it right.
But there are some things you can do as a non-developer to help improve your performance. Here are my recommendations:
1) Run your site through the Shopify Analyzer, that's a free tool my team built for the Shopify community. It's geared specifically for Shopify sites and the scoring / recommendations are based on 1,000+ Shopify sites we've optimized.
2) About "removing garbage". One thing to note is that when you delete an app it loses access to your store, so it cannot clean up after itself if it injected code into your theme. The way to solve this is check for uninstall instructions after deleting an app. If they don't send them automatically, contact the developer to see if anything needs to be removed to fully uninstall their app.
You can also check your main theme files: theme.liquid and product.liquid + its snippets (if the app interacted with the product page) are where about 90% of app code gets injected.
3) The Shopify Analyzer will show links to resources to help you fix the warnings, also if you want a full Shopify optimization guide to follow we created this guide for people like you: https://speedboostr.com/shopify-optimization.
Optimize what you can, then if you need help with anything else you can always reach out to our team at speedboostr.com/contact. We optimize sites, build features and apps, and consult for Shopify stores.
Good luck on your project and your business this year 👍

Hi @JoesIdeas
I analyzed my site from two different places.
1) https://analyze.speedboostr.com/result/fvov127i5n
How do you think we should proceed with the available data. I just opened my site, but it's very slow. Thanks
Hi @helmer my team can take a look. Head to speedboostr.com/contact and mention this post. Our site analyzer will analyze your site within 24 hours and give recommendations to further improve your performance.
@JoesIdeas Thank you for your support. But the link you mentioned is not being measured properly. Did you notice?
Hey @Airika_Bali @helmer ,
If this is still something of interest for you guys, I actually wrote an article on this specific topic so you have a better idea how to measure properly your speed and how to improve it:
