Rather than taking the user off site, perhaps point them at the existing guide, or give the help here. By doing it via email it stops the next person that finds this thread from being able to see a resolution.

Don't hand out staff invites or give admin password to forum members unless absolutely needed. In most cases the help you need can be handled without that.
