Afterpay wont redirect at payment gateway

HI, 

 

Recently, I have added Afterpay for my online store.

But, when customers try to complete order, shopify does not redirect to afterpay to make a payment and they return to the shopping cart again.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thank you for taking the time to post your question here. I did some digging regarding this issue, and found that Afterpay only accepts email addresses for customer notifications. So, if your customers try to use a phone number, their payment will fail, and they will be redirected to cart to try again.

To avoid this instance in the future, you will need to only allow customers to check out with email as contact method. Check out the steps below on how to set this up!

  1. From your admin, you’ll want to go to your ‘Settings > Checkout’.

  2. Under the ‘Customer contact’ section, select ‘Customers can only check out using email’.

  3. Click ‘Save’.

This way, when your customer enters in a phone number, they will not be able to proceed to checkout, hence, preventing them from being redirected to cart when they attempt payment. I was facing the same issue and Afterpay customer service told me they have not launched mobile payment yet. At this time, customer can either use desktop, laptop or tablet to complete checkout process.

I run 5 x Shopify webssites and am seeing this issue on one site, not on the other 4.  Also I just tested it from desktop & the issue is on desktop.  (I have ensured my admin setting is set to customers can only check out using email.)

Hello

As a user i can attest that it doesnt matter whether i use my phone,tablet or laptop. Each time i tty to check out im asked for my email them my phone whereiit says you already have an account please login to that

im having the same issue and I also fixed the option where you can only checkout using an email. Did you even figure the problem out? I contacted them but it takes almost a week for a response
