Need advice on CBD oil product sales without Paypal or Stripe?

Hello! I just wanted to share that until 3 months ago, I had no idea that it was not allowed to sell CBD oil products using  Paypal or Stripe. 

I'm a soapmaker and bath bomb maker. I wanted to start making bath bombs with CBD Oil in them. I was on Squarespace and Paypal froze my account.

Ugh. 

This forced me to do some digging and after looking at half a dozen payment merchants I went with InclusivePay.  I know that a lot of other people might find themselves in the same boat.

I use square which bridges with Shopify through EMB. It’s been seamless

What is EMB? I'm also using Square but would love to bridge with Shopify.

The information here is outdated. I have contacted eMerchants and they cannot support CBD businesses. If anyone has any new info please advise. My business is on hold until I resolve this.

Just this week, my EMB agency boarded several new accounts (December 21, 2020). **By the way, there is a totally different company with a similar name, Emerchant (that's not us). Perhaps you were confused between the two different companies?

Yes, I'm still with them.  I have not been down since once and I use Authorize.net to connect in Shopify so I can do reoccuring.   I only sell Topical CBD and my rates are lower than Square.  I know that if you sell edibles, the rates are higher.

So they don’t take the product down from your Shopify store with the new payment? Shopify only allows CBD professional account with different application than other retail. Just curious.

Square has a CBD program. Google their application. It only takes about 48 hours to get approved.

Hi! Thank you so much for giving your tips for payment.

I actually dropped that CBD oil products right away. My Etsy shop
disappeared right after I listed my products for many days. Recovering my
shop after many talks with administration was pain in the ass. 😂
I rather not sell any CBD related products to be safe. Now I’m collecting
herbs that naturally grow on my property and building samples to make
bathbomb 🙂
