Card Error. Can't Start a Plan

I'm about to open my shop but when I tried to add my credit card and start the plan, an error occurred.

We could not verify your credit card. Transaction failed.

Please help!

Ted here from Shopify, thanks for reaching out to us!

When verifying a new card on an account, Shopify will charge $1 to your credit card to make sure that the card works. If the test charge is successful, the $1 fee is imminently refunded back to the cardholder. In reference to the error you are seeing, it sounds like your bank has rejected the $1 test charge. Can I ask if you are using a pre-paid, debit or a credit card? At the moment, Shopify can only accept credit cards for subscription plans. More information can be found here if you would like to take a look.
