DPD tracking URL is incorrect

Hi community.

Has anyone else noticed the the DPD Local tracking URL is no longer working in the same way as it used to do?

The URL that Shopify generates is as follows;

https://www.dpdlocal.co.uk/apps/tracking/?reference=XXXXXXXXXX

With the consignment number as the reference

This used to take the customer directly to the results page where the latest status of the shipment was displayed.

Now it only takes the customer to another DPD search page with an 'undefined' postcode field (actually - unless you delete the word 'undefined' - you can't tell its a postcode field).  The user then enters the postcode and searches again.

I've tried a few variations - for example;

https://www.dpdlocal.co.uk/apps/tracking/?reference=XXXXXXXXXX&postcode=YYYYYY#results

Which helps populate the form but again, doesn't perform the actual search.

Does anyone know the correct URL format to take the customer directly to the results page?

I have access to shipment ID, consignment number and parcel numbers so happy to use what ever reference works.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi David,

Did you get this resolved? I am also having a similar issue.

When clicking the tracking number it takes me to dpd.com/tracking instead of dpd.co.uk.

Hi Casey,

It did seem to just get resolved now you mention it. In my case, we didn't do anything differently and I don't recall Shopify making any changes.

I suspected that the DPD web service had a hiccup at the time. I just went a checked one of our recent orders and it is still working with the .co.uk URL

https://www.dpdlocal.co.uk/apps/tracking/?reference=xxxxxxxxxx

We are in the habit of checking that the admin UI is set to "DPD Local" when entering the tracking number against the order. I can't recall now if the admin UI automatically switches to the correct carrier based on the number (sorry I don't do the dispatch much anymore).
