Has anyone tried using Asendia as a shipping consolidator for Interntaional shipments originating in the U.S.? Have any opinions about their service?
Or does anyone have a shipping consolidator they really like for U.S. domestic and international shipments? (Our volume is too low for a lot of consolidators, but the post office says we have too many packages when we try to drop them off, and they also won't pick them up from our business, even if we pay for a scheduled pickup, and FedEx SmartPost refuses to pick up, and UPS and FedEx are too expensive, so we're looking for options!)
Not sure about Asendia, but you can check out the FedEx rates, labels & tracking app to handle your shipping with FedEx. The app allows you to handle FedEx shipping along with features like FedEx One Rate, SmartPost, Freight, etc. Once you have large volume of orders, it would be easy for you to get negotiated rates for FedEx as well. You can display live rates at checkout, print labels, schedule pickup and also handle FedEx tracking.
Have you explored options to use USPS as it is much cheaper than UPS or FedEx. Other than that, if you are multiple carriers, going with a solution that handles all of them instead of single solution for single carrier is a must. You can try the Multi Carrier Shipping label app that also supports FedEx Smarpost in addition to UPS as well as USPS. You can use USPS flat rate boxes to reduce cost as well.
