Freight Shipping solution

Hi, I'm looking for a new freight shipping solution for our store. We have been using NetParcel and have nothing but issues with their plug in, techinical support and quality of service. I desperately need a new option since I'm losing a lot of sales due to their app not providing a shipping quote in the cart. 

Are there any other options??

Hi Alice,

If you are using NetParcel to provide carrier-calculated rates and you need those rates to appear in the cart page instead of just the checkout, you can add a shipping calculator to your cart with a bit of coding. 

Add Shipping Calculator :https://docs.shopify.com/themes/customization/cart/add-shipping-calculator

Once installed that shipping calculator will pull your rates estimates into the cart page for your customer :)

The shipping calculator will also pull carrier-calculated rates estimates from any of the following apps that you could use in place of NetParcel should you want to break from NetParcel all together.

If you have an account with FedEx, UPS, or USPS you could use the carrier calculated shipping that can be setup within your admin.

The feature allows you to connect your Settings > Shipping admin page to an account you may have with one or are all three of the above shipping carriers.  Once connected the feature will allow you to use real time rates direct from the carrier account in your store's checkout. If you added the shipping calculator I mentioned above the shipping calculator would also pull these rates into the cart page for your customers :)

NetParcel is now saying that the issues that I'm having are a Shopify issue. How do I open a ticket up to look into the problem?

Hi Alice,

I'm having similar issues.  Looked at your website and it appears you have found a solution for ground freight.  Can you share what app(s) you used?

We ended up creating our own shipping table. It's not perfect but it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than NetParcel.

May I know which carrier you are using?

 

If you are using FedEx, you can check out the FedEx Rates, Labels and Tracking app. You can use the app to easily handle the FedEx freight by enabling the freight option (see the image below).

Along with this, the app also helps in printing labels in bulk, schedule pickup and also the FedEx tracking.

It would have been great if you could have let us know the exact problem that you are facing. May i know which carrier are you using? If you are using UPS, FedEx, DHL you can try the Multi Carrier Shipping label app for showing freight quotes directly at checkout. Moreover, accurate quotes are only provided when packaging is efficiently handled. This app allows you to pack items in boxes based on dimensions and weights. You can also set a weight criteria alone and charge shipping based on that.
