How To Change Shipping Rate per Quantity?

Hi, I am new to shopify. But I made a mistake in shipping. I wanted to change shipping fee in increments as they order by quantiy. But the weight does not seem to work coz when I adjust the weight the choice disappears from the shipping information. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Is there a possibility to set up rates based on order cost? I hope you can set up the rates to increase based on the cost. You can set up multiple rates based on increasing order costs giving an approximation of the maximum number of items your customers might buy at a time. 

If not, you will have to use an app like our Multi Carrier Shipping Label app that helps you set up to increment the shipping rates at checkout based on the product quantity.
