I have a client who sells a product that weighs 1 tonne and therefore they cannot just calculated a fixed price. We would need to talk to our freight company and manually give the customer a customised quote for their shipping cost. How is this normally done? Does the customer place the order and we charge them the shipping after? Or do we negotiate a shipping cost before they place it? Are there any shipping plugins that cater to this?
