I used the pause and step away option to temporarily shut down my store where you don't get charged for 3 months however immediately after pressing the pause button I was charged $29. This isn't what I thought if I was going to get charged I would have just left it running. Youa re now asking for a further $29 to restart my store. How do I get a refund?
When fully pausing your store, the account is charged for any outstanding charges that are on the account. It is likely that the $29 is for app charges; however, I would need to verify the store to confirm. I have gone ahead and sent you an email titled "Shopify Forum Support" which will require that you reply with the requested information. Once I have seen your reply I can look into the invoice and provide further information on why the charge occurred.
Our Terms of Service does state that we do not provide refunds; however, we make expectations on a case by case basis. Ultimately, it will depend on what type of charge occurred (subscription, app, etc) and when the charge occurred. In order for me to review your request, I will need to verify the store which is why I have sent you an email titled "Shopify Forum Support." If you can reply to that email with the requested information then I can take a look.
