Issue paying Shopify subscription with Paypal "Payment couldn't be processed"

I am trying to pay my Shopify subscription using my Paypal business account.

At first I thought it was a Paypal setting.

But, before I see the red message below, there is another red message : "Must pass payment methods which match the shop's usable payment methods."

So maybe it's a Shopify setting.

As my free Shopify trial has expired, I cannot adjust my Shopify settings.

I may have to pay by credit card instead.

Hey, @Neil-

I'm sorry to see that you're having trouble paying for your Shopify subscription. When it comes to Paypal, it would require that you reach out to Paypal support should the transaction decline for any reason. Paypal is in control of whether or not the amount is accepted and not something Shopify would be able to troubleshoot as it wouldn't be connected to whether or not you have specific Shopify settings setup. Using a credit card will be the best workaround to paying for the monthly subscription while Paypal investigates this further.
