Need a shipping and inventory solution

Hi folks

Looking for some advice regarding shipping and inventory please.

We currently operate 2 businesses which each have their own Shopify store, Etsy store and eBay store. When processing orders we're printing them using order printer and then manually updating stock across all channels (including a master spreadsheet) wrapping and addressing by hand and standing in the post office queue!! 

This Christmas has been the final straw. Employing staff isn't an option so we need to streamline the shipping and inventory process. 

Ideally we'd like to have one central stock sheet which automatically syncs across all channels. 

We're based in the UK and ship 80% to UK, 15% to US and 5% Europe/Australia. Most of our packages are small parcel size and under 1 kilo but we also send some large letters and heavier parcels too.

We'd like to be able to track parcels and allow customers to track their own parcels too without needing to contact us. 

We like the look of ShipStation but their inventory management isn't suitable (it doesn't sync across channels) so we were maybe thinking some sort of Linnworks/ParcelHub combination.

 If anyone has any advice or would be happy to share their shipping/fulfilment/inventory/tracking set up that would be great thanks.

Stocky Inventory Management - This app will help you save time by updating your stock levels/adjustments and help you download CSVs for your Dymo Printer so you can print them.

Stock Sync - You can schedule inventory updates across different suppliers, and it works with Etsy and eBay.

Trackr - This app sends email notifications after each delivery status update, and your customers can track their own orders. You can find more tracking apps here.

ShippingEasy - Helps with shipping automation and works with Etsy and eBay sales channels. There are also a list of other shipping apps here.

Since these are third-party developed apps, you can contact the developers directly under the “Support” area of each app’s page for any questions.

If you’re using Shopify Shipping, tracking numbers will be added automatically to orders. You can read more about that here: Add tracking numbers to fulfilled orders.

Hello @Craig_OG ,

 

Handling the complete shipping process manually, starting from inventory management, order management, shipping, and tracking would require lot of time and effort. So, it is better to automate the process using a few apps.

 

You can find all the inventory management apps in the Shopify app store from this link.

Now, I would suggest you check out the Multi Carrier Shipping Label app, which would help in automating the complete shipping process using multiple carriers. You can print labels in bulk, schedule pickup and handle tracking as well.

If you require a dedicated app to handle tracking, you can use the Shipment Tracking & Notify app which would help you in handling the tracking process with multiple carriers.
