Need support for European bank import formats (MT940 or CODA)

We installed the Shopify Payments system that was announced in our country yesterday. However, to report payments for our bookkeeping we will need an export that is compatible with the European standards, such as MT940 or CODA.

The default .csv export is not sufficient and is not compatible. This is a huge disadvantage over other payment processors that do have this feature by default.

How to proceed ?

Same issue here, I guess Shopify does not care about this..

Also have this problem, did you find a workaround?

I'm using this tool, works for me to load them into our accounting software: https://www.coenfin.nl/software/mt940-creator

I'm afraid our accounting software does not accept the mt940 files created by that software.

Which one is it? I had to change a few settings to make it work.

Moneybird. You're right, delved deeper into the settings, and apparently there are a lot of different versions of the MT940 file format. After playing around a bit I found a version of the MT940 that moneybird could read. Thanks for the help!

Ah awesome! Yeah, I'm also using Moneybird. Glad it worked!

So I'm not a specialist in this subject, but I also need to convert CSV to MT940. Unfortunately, I'm not understanding which CSV file I need to import. I used the Order export CSV file, but that doesn't work. It gives an error. Any idea which file I need to import?

Hi, you need to go to the Payouts section in Shopify and then Transactions and export from there for the date range you want (or you can export them per payout). I also export the Payouts themselves so I can book these as well.

Thanks! I think I found this menu in the past, but then lost sight of it. Not the most intuitive location for this kind of information in my opinion.
