I'm trying to set up my store so that only one USPS shipping method shows up. However, even though I only have "first class package" selected, and do not have the other 3 options turned on, I still see all USPS shipping methods as options on the fulfillment screen.
I want to limit this because I dont want the person fulfilling the orders to have any options to ship other than the method I have selected.
I'm Ann, from the team here at Shopify :)
You can definitely make sure that only one USPS rate appears in your checkout! In this case, it would be hard to say why you are seeing more than one appear without seeing your settings, but something that might be triggering this is that you have to also uncheck 'Automatically offer new shipping services when they become available'. This option appears a bit below the list of standard USPS shipping rates, and it could be adding more shipping options during the checkout process. Check out what it looks like here:
If you do have that unchecked and are still seeing this problem, make sure you reach out to our support team so we can look into it! To do that, just head here :)
Have a great one,
As explained by Shopify, this can be easily achieved by unchecking other services and then disabling the option 'Automatically offer new shipping services when they become available'. However, on a bigger picture i was wondering if all your products go First Class? What if multiple items are bought. In that case how do you handle shipping as First class would not show. Also, if you are looking at selecting the cheapest cost service without intervention of your staff then going with an automated solution like the Multi Carrier shipping label app would make sense.
