Hey there Ion,
This is Alex from the Shopify Guru team, happy to assist you today!
While Shopify Payments doesn't accept cryptocurrency yet, there are third party payment gateways you can cannot to your store depending where you are located that accept other cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin.
Try checking out CoinBase to see if it's right for you!

The current problem with Shopify & Bitcoin needs to be addressed very quickly. 2018 is going to change the landscape of crypto payments with BTC being used less and less as a transactional currency compared to alt-coins such as LTC, ETH, BCH at a minimum.
If Shopify is partnered with BitPay & Coinbase, they need to start pressuring these gateways to open up more avenues than just BTC, they are too indebted to BTC core and moving way to slow in their acceptance of alt-coins. We will be behind the pack and disadvantaged very soon if BTC is our only option compared to other shopping cart systems.
Coinify currently offers a wider range of crypto payments - currently accepting 15 different coins - and would be a great additional gateway for Shopify to allow merchants to accept crypto payments outside of BTC. They have plugins for most carts but have lost support for Shopify due to Shopify changing it's approach. This is from their support team when asked about Shopify plugin support:
While Shopify was one commerce platform we supported, I believe Shopify closed down the integration path that we were using.
The integration in question was done with a custom script into Shopify's custom payment methods.
Unfortunately, we are unable to prioritise 3rd party plugins at the moment. Our entire API is public and our developers have created SDKs in both PHP and Python to allow for others to integrate with our system, so our users are free to integrate manually or work with others to integrate with our merchant platform.
I'd like to see Shopify and Coinify work together for an official plugin. The API is there, it just needs some final work by Shopify to make it official. This Coinify checkout is what our customers should be seeing in our checkouts, not just the current limit of BTC:
The following digital currencies can be accepted by Coinify merchants:
I can confirm that the coinbase integration is working fine.
When you have already implemented Bitcoin (or other cryptocurrencies) please add your shop to our directory where we list all online shops accepting cryptocurrencies. That would be highly appreciated. Spread the word - cryptos are the future :)
I know that a lot of people now want to make money on cryptocurrency. But safe trading without financial losses is something that needs to be learned for years. Personally, in order not to lose money, I use the best paid crypto signals from trusted providers. This is a great way to make money, especially for those who are just starting out.
