Order ID Not Passing to Authorize.net

Hello!  We are new to the Shopify platform and are having issues figuring out how to pass order ID numbers on to Authorize.net so that we can reconcile orders/payments easier.  On other e-commerce platforms this seems to happen automatically.  But on the Shopify platform we are seeing random strings of numbers being assigned to the orders (for example: c15143555432607.1) when they come through to Authorize.net (instead of Order #1007).  I tried searching for a solution to this already but did not find anything recent.  Can anyone tell me how we can resolve this?  Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!
