Packing Slip Customizations

I am a newbie and need someone to  help me walk me though how to do the following if possible.

 I am wanting the packing slips to tell me more information such as: customer email and phone number , shipping method, and payment method. 

I know about the help page at https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/orders/packing-slips-variable-list 

 what I don't know is how to insert them in to the code when I just copy and paste the words just show up.
