Payment captured twice on credit card

We have a customer who said the credit card they have used has a holding payment on there from us, but we have had the full payment for the order go through. The banks are claiming its down to us but we have never experienced this before and only see one payment confirmation.

Hello Shopify community, 

We have also had the same issue twice. Customers have been debited twice on their cards when making their orders. Is there a reason as to why this happens? Kindly advise.
