How can I add auto-renewal subscriptions for yearly magazine sales?

We sell magazines on a yearly basis, is there a way for me to add auto-renewal subscriptions? Something like Sports Illustrated or ESPN, they send you an email one month before your subscription renews.

There are a number of subscription-based apps on Shopify, including some that integration directly with the Shopify checkout—I'd recommend taking a look at ReCharge Subscriptions, Bold Subscriptions, and PayWhirl Recurring Payments. These apps all allow you to offer subscriptions to your customers that can often be managed on the customers' end.
