Refunded orders still showing as open

I don't know if anyone else experiences this...

 

when an order is refunded (via Paypal, possibly through Shopify), the order remains "open" on Shopify. What is the best way to automate it so that this refunded order is "closed"?

 

Do I need to manually go and cancel these orders or is there a more automated/intuitive process?

Hi @nadirchaudhry,

Thank you for reaching out with your question. You can move an order to the "Closed" tab by archiving it, which can be done from the Orders section of your admin:

If you see the image above, I have selected order #1016 in the Open tab in my Orders section. I can then press "More actions" and "Archive orders", which when done will mark the order as "Closed":

In terms of automation, I believe refunding an order may re-open it so if this happens, it will just need to be manually archived again.
