Registration of PayPal business account

Hello,

I'm researching about the payment options that can be legally used and feeling frustrated about ability to set up the ecommerce store if I'm not a US citizen,

as when I'm trying to register PayPal business account it requires to fill in the US state and Employer ID Number (EIN), how should I proceed without EIN?  

Should I register then a personal account or if it should be business account how can I proceed. 

Please help with the issue, thank you in advance!

Thanks for sharing your question. We support businesses all around the globe, and you certainly don't have to be a US citizen to have a smooth onboarding experience for payments. I took a look at your previous posts, and I noticed you mentioned you are located in Kazakhstan. Based on that, check out this full list of payment gateways with existing integrations in your region, including PayPal Express:

With that being said, I know your question is directed at setting up PayPal specifically. I do want to take a moment to note that since PayPal is a third-party provider it's best to connect with them directly for the most accurate information. You can do so through the following help link:

I did conduct some extra research for you, and I notice they offer business accounts in more than 200 countries, including Kazakhstan. Is it possible you signed up through their US website specifically, instead of using a general link? I tried to sign up to see if I can replicate your experience, but I didn't run into the same roadblock as you. Make sure to connect with them to find out what happened, and how you can proceed outside of the US.

Dear Olivia, 

 

thank you for your detailed answer, 

it helped me, as when I followed your link I was asked to log in with my email and password that I created 

and all of a sudden I was transferred to my already existing PayPal account, even though I didn't finish the registration during the previous time, 

this is a bit strange, but now I see that I have an account in PayPal marked as "Business" but without information in the fields 

such as EIN, SSN, Tax Payer number. 

I will figure out which set up option to choose to complete PayPal check out in order to accept payments, however I faced with another unaccomplished procees when I clicked to 

the button "Activate PayPal express check out" I was said to click on the link sent to my email I used for registration, but I didn't receive any email from PayPal , neither I didn't recieve any 

"Account registration confirmation" from PayPal. 

I will keep researching on that, thank you anyway for your help.
