In Shopify Payments I have now had our bank account settings hacked and updated to incorrect bank account information twice in the last 45 days. The incredible thing is that both times it happened the email notification was not sent. Therefore my funds were diverted to incorrect bank account without my knowledge. Both times I updated the information back to the correct information I received a notification email immediately.
Also what is incredible to me is that we updated our password information as well and that seemed to be no problem for the hackers.
Has this happened to anyone else? What can be done??
Thanks so much for that heads up. You would have thought that the multiple customer service reps that I have spoken with might have suggested this, but alas, they did not.
The craziest thing is that somehow my Password, which I updated on Friday, got changed BACK to my old one, again without my knowledge or any notification!
