My first post here so HI..
I'm in the process of setting up a new shop - it's pretty much done, nice and simple with a free Template.
I'm having an issue with the billing/shipping addresses. When I test a purchase, it only comes up with one address option - BILLING - there is nowhere to put 'hip to same address' or a different shipping address. This is fairly common with e-commerece setups so wondering where this can be found.
I have un-ticked the box in CHECKOUT SETTINGS stating use the same address..
Any help is welcome.
Hey there @QubuQ,
Ryder here, from the Social Care Team at Shopify. Welcome to our Community Forums, and thanks for posting! I'd be happy to see how I can be of assistance with setting up your checkout to ensure it includes both the Billing and the Shipping address.
It sounds like either one or more of your products might not be set to require shipping. If you're selling digital downloads or services, then your products can't be set up this way as you won't need shipping information to deliver. If your products are meant to be shipping, you can change this in your Bulk Editor.
The Bulk Editor can be accessed in your Shopify Admin by going to Products, selecting all of the products you'd like to make changes to, and then clicking the Edit products button. In the Bulk Editor, you'll want to use the Add fields drop down to choose Requires shipping under the Shipping section. This will populate a Requires shipping column. Any products that aren't digital downloads or services will need to be checked off here.
Once you've saved the changes, your checkout should display both the Shipping and Billing address fields. The checkout is defaulted to use the same shipping address as the billing address, but your customers can choose to provide a different address. If you'd like to change this, you can do so in your Admin by going to Settings > Checkout. Under the Order processing section, you can uncheck the Use the shipping address as the billing address by default option for customer's to fill out both sections.
I hope this helps to answer your question! Please let me know if there's anything I can clarify.
