Shipping with carrier rates and custom rate

I set up third party carrier rates as part of my shipping strategy. I also want to offer free shipping to my customers for orders over a certain amount, which I set up as a custom rate. The issue is that both of these options show up when I test the checkout on my site. Is there a way to remove the carrier rates that apply when a customer is eligible for free shipping?

If you are running a Shopify Plus store you can accomplish this with the Script Editor app.

Are you a Shopify Plus store? If not, is your free shipping method the first/default shipping method?

I am not a Shopify Plus store. I don't know if any of them are defaults...I don't see this option anywhere in my settings.

Does your free shipping method show up at the top of the list of shipping methods?

If it does, that might be the best that you can hope for right now.

Several feature requests have been submitted to allow for sorting and conditionally disabling shipping methods.
