I am seeing too many cases of buyers not somehow selecting the right "Cash On Delivery" option in the Shipping Method screen and then on the Billing / final checkout user selects "Cash On Delivery" and the final order placement fails and thus I am losing a sale and it goes into abandoned checkouts.
Under abandoned checkout the reason message is "Cash on Delivery is not available for Express Shipping. Please go back to choose an eligible shipping method (Cash On Delivery (COD))."
Please suggest how this can be addressed to make the UI / checkout flow more streamline? Is there a way to make the shipping method automatically "Cash On Delivery" if in the user missed selecting it in "shipping method" screen but at final checkout has selected the "COD" option.
