Hi everyone -

Can you validate an assumption and provide some insight regarding how your are invoiced on shipping?

Most of you don't receive a separate invoice from UPS, FedEx, or DHL because your shipping account is rolled up into Shopify or a 3rd party fulfillment company. Is that correct?


You do receive invoices

For those of you that DO receive a separate invoice from the carriers. At what package volume did it make financial sense to bring your shipping in house rather than outsource to a 3PL? 

My team is developing a new SaaS platform to help small to medium sized shippers manage their parcel invoices. If you've ever looked at a carrier invoice you know how confusing and frustrating it can be. 

Like I said, most of you probably don't receive a parcel invoice, but if you do I'd love to better understand how you're managing all of that data now, and if it would make sense to connect your invoiced data with other apps.
