Wow, I've only been selling for two weeks and have run into this glaring shortcoming of the Shopify platform. Sellers should be able to edit/revise/refund/discount ALL ASPECTS of orders. I'm trying to add a couple free items to an order, and there's no way to do it via the Shopify platform so as to have the invoice, shipping weight, inventory, reports, etc. accurately reflect the transaction. That's embarrassing. Please fix this.
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. I understand how having full editing capabilities on an order while being able to add a discount would be valuable to your business. I have added your names and store name (thank you @MapleCraftFoods) to our feedback list. In the meantime, @HookAndArnott, you can add a discount to a new product or custom item being added to your edited order by following our help doc with the steps, here: Add a discount to an order.
