Right now Shopify sends an email saying your order is delivered as soon as the first shipment is delivered. With a multi-shipment order this causes customers to freak out thinking that part of their order was lost or stolen.
This is a Shopify bug that Shopify has acknowledged for quite some time, but hasn't fixed.
We added a generic disclaimer, but that's of limited help.
Any other ideas on how to work around this major bug in Shopify? This specifically is for Shopify's "amazon marketplace web" shipments.
Shopify support said "Alternatively, you can then use an application or a third party tool to send out your order notifications instead essentially creating a manual override. In this case, you can use the Spently app to customize all of Shopify's notification emails, as well as add additional emails for every order" -- haven't looked into it yet - sounds like a huge pain.
