We have created a demo store for one of our apps: https://courses-demo.myshopify.com/
Our app is working in a way where access to app's functionality is accessible after customer makes the order so we have created several free products inside of this store for testing purposes. Any of merchants interested in the app can make a test order and access what our app does.
We know that there are 3 ways to make test orders:
We have the second option: only Bogus gateway enabled. Nevertheless, we are using orders from our orders limit, so at some point we're reaching the limit of orders available on demo store and checkout becomes disabled.
Obviously, we don't earn anything from this order, we use this demo store only for demonstration purpose. It seems that Shopify documentation is not correct here, because as it says, we should not reach to 50 orders limit with Bogus gateway, however in our case we have reached this limit and it was raised by 25 orders by support. Strange.
We wanted to check if anyone was in a similar situation and maybe Shopify gurus can suggest how can we solve this problem?
Solved! Go to the solution
This might be caused by the orders being free, so no gateway is used. Are you able to add a price to the products and provide 'bogus gateway' instructions for folks demoing your app?
