GraphQL Storefront API `User-Agent` header not allowed in Safari

I am using the storefront api to build a custom storefront. It is working great in Chrome, however when I open my store in safari none of my api requests are going through and I am getting the error:

Failed to load resource: Request header field User-Agent is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Headers.

In Chrome my User-Agent header is the following:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3626.121 Safari/537.36

 which works great.

In Safari my User-Agent header is:

node-fetch/1.0 (+https://github.com/bitinn/node-fetch)

 and the request is blocked.

Does anyone know how I can get around this issue in safari?
