How to get the API Key for our existing app.

We have been supporting Shopify for years with our QuickBooks Integration products.

We wanted to extend the functions so we created a new test shop.

We granted access to the app but did get a bunch of 404 errors.  The log shows that the app was granted access but how do we get the api key/password.

The existing doc that we had for Shopify seems to be outdated.

OAuth no longer uses API Keys and Passwords. In your OAuth response you'll redeem a code to retrieve the access token that you then include in your API requests.

You include the token by adding the header X-Shopify-Access-Token and setting it to the value of the token you retrieved.

Our Windows Desktop code has been working for years and still do.  All we are trying to do is to expand some functions and need to access a test Shopify account to test.

It doesn't make sense to me that we have to re-write the authorization code now just to expand our functions.

What API endpoints are you making requests to? What permissions have you requested?

This is what our test program had from years ago.

https://key:pass@hostname.myshopify.com/admin/orders/75536672.xml?status=any

We get orders, then mark them as Closed in Shopify.

We want to add updating of quantity on hand.

In the new test store that we just created we were able to grant access to our app but then just get 404 errors, etc.  Never see your  'Installed Applications' screen to do a 'Show Password'.

Our new test account is named AaaTeXTest.

I have been waiting for a response for 3 days.  Is this how Shopify treats their Development/partners?
