Refund usage charge on app uninstall

I'm developing a shopify app. We've a yearly subscription plan $79 and I've implemented it through usage charge. Once a user installs the app it will ask for $79 and other additional charges. Suppose the user uninstalls the app within a month, then I want to refund a partial amount from $79. 

 

How can I accomplish this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Refunds are usually initiated by the merchants, go through Shopify, Shopify reaches out to the developer for approving the refund and confirms the amount. Shopify handles the refunds. The process is much easier if the app is not uninstalled, you can then issue Application Credits that the merchant can further use on other apps - https://help.shopify.com/en/api/reference/billing/applicationcredit

 

I am not sure about the subtleties with the yearly charge vs monthly charge.
