I'm looking for some information on the best direction to take with integration against Shopify in regards multiple Shopify stores connected centrally. In this case we think the Sales Channel approach fits best with this, although we are open to other options if they fit better.
We have setup the initial Sales Channel with a test store and done basic implementation following the OAuth flow, to retrieve client authentication tokens. Our issue comes when we come to access that stores collections, products, and any further information to allow purchases to be made centrally via a mobile application with every store linked to the Sales Channel within it. The checkout flow will be individual to each store however, so we are not concerned about universal, or one singular checkout across all stores.
Attempting to use the Shopify Mobile Buy SDK, we hit issues with authentication using the client authentication tokens from the OAuth flow, and also with attempting to use the Sales Channel API key alongside the connected stores URL. So coming to that conclusion, would we be correct in thinking the Mobile Buy SDK is not usable with Sales Channel integrations?
Our only other thought on this would be integrating retrieval of the products, collections, and all other information, as well as the checkout process on our backend API, and our mobile front end applications calling to our API to retrieve this. In such that our API acts as a proxy to Shopify.
Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
