Sales Channel and read_only_own_orders permission

The documentation says that Sales Channels must now have read_only_own_orders applied https://shopify.dev/concepts/app-store/getting-your-app-approved/app-requirements 

1. Does that mean it's no longer possible for a sales channel to request the read_orders permission?

2. It doesn't look like it's possible to request for "read_only_own_orders" in Oauth, is that something that Shopify will apply on its backend i.e. there's nothing I need to do before submitting my app for review? The error I get is 

Oauth error invalid_scope: The access scope is invalid: read_only_own_orders

We are having the same issue when trying to add read_only_own_orders scope to our sales channel.

Is that mean we cannot use the "read_orders", "write_orders" scope as we are a sales channel?

Please help...
