Shipping zones issue?

Hey all,

One of the merchants using one of our apps gets the following issue when the app loads on the storefront. I'm trying to wrap my head around what's going on:

Scenario

Preliminary: enable our app

  1. As a customer add a product to cart and proceed to checkout
  2. Enter Germany as the shipping address and proceed to the next step

Actual result: An error screen is shown, customer can't continue with the checkout

Expected result: (when the app is not enabled) customer can checkout with this shipping address.

 

In the described scenario, when the app is enabled, it redirects the customer to '/checkout'. 

 

Does anyone here have an idea what might go wrong here? I'm guessing that it has to shipping zones?
