We are having trouble setting up the UPS Surepost shipping option on the check-out page. We have all the information for UPS setup on the back end and it is pulling our discounted rates, but it does not seem provide UPS Surepost as one of the shipping options. Below are the shipping options provided:
Just trying to get some help to see if I am missing a step, or there is some other kind of integration necessary, or if we need to use an application to complete the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It doesn't look like UPS SurePost rates are built into the standard carrier calculated shipping feature that Shopify provides, I can bring this up with our team to see what could be done about a possible integration in the future.
For the time being, this means that an app solution would need to be used to take advantage of UPS SurePost rates being offered to customers on the checkout pages of your shop. Apps like Advanced Shipping Manager and Flexible Shipping should be able to help out with this.

Yes, Surepost services are a special set of services that need to activated for your UPS account. Shopify's inbuilt UPS integration provides all major services like UPS Ground, Next Day Air, Second Day Air, etc which are used by almost the complete spectrum of store owners. However, for cases where you need to use SurePost as a service, you can get an account with UPS and use that account in the multi carrier shipping label app to get these rates.
Also, with SurePost, you have to make sure that the packages must be at least four inches high, six inches long, and .75 inches thick, may not exceed 130 inches in length and girth combined, and no single dimension may exceed 60 inches in length. The maximum weight of a UPS SurePost package is 70 pounds.
Hey Jeff - we are awaiting a solution to this as well. We have linked our UPS account to Shopify and are getting our own accounts discounted rates, however SurePost is not showing up as an option on any orders. All are inside the parameters that SurePost requires. It was a major reason I hooked up our account to Shopify to take advantage of SurePost...sadly no one here seems to have solved it.
Hi Trey! I know it’s been a long time, but is there ANY word from Shopify on this yet? Does Shopify have any answer as to why they do not allow SurePost yet? Most other 3td party shipping platforms have been using it for years.
Would love to have some sort of answer. Good or bad.

Same question as Kenny. We're in the process of migrating to Shopify and were surprised to see that SurePost isn't a native option. Clearly the question has been around for a while, which leads me to think that Shopify has no intention of supporting this service, but some official word on that would be great.
Just got off the phone with an awesome rep at UPS and he too was surprised that Shopify still hasn't integrated SurePost into their rate management systems. I mistakenly upgraded to the premium shopify plan a few days ago thinking it would open up everything to help me run my new, small clothing line more efficiently and offer customers more shipping options (in hopes of garnering more orders). So now I have to take on that premium plan expense that is triple the cost AND get a 3rd party PAID app to use SurePost via shopify? C'mon shopify, please help us out!
