Unable to retrieve orders via REST API

Hey all,

In the past 2 days, our app has been unable to retrieve orders with:

/admin/orders/123123123123.json (This is a sample orderId)

{
    "errors": "Not Found"
}

or

/admin/orders.json

{
    "orders": []
}

Yet,

/admin/orders/count.json returns:

{
    "count": 12576
}

I even checked to see if we still had read_orders scope, and we do:

{
    "handle": "read_orders"
}

From our test apps, we can still retrieve orders on the test stores.

I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

Anyone else?

Some further testing.

Used API version 2020-01. Same issue.

I tried /admin/orders/123123123123/transactions.json and I get the transactions list back successfully.

I'm experiencing the same issue here. The most recent order I imported was at 2020-03-09 20:42:25.

I am using shop, product, and order endpoints - shop and product work fine, in all cases I get an empty set from orders.json.

GET .../admin/api/2020-01/orders.json?status=any&limit=20
{"orders":[]}

Hi @benholmen-tbh  @NolanM  @sum0mer  @ClickAndDrop  @danipo,

I've tested this on multiple test stores using the 2020-01 API version, but in each case I'm getting the expected orders back.

In order to investigate further, can you please provide the X-Shopify-Request-ID from the response headers of a call you're having issues with? I will use this to check our logs and investigate further.

Hi @_JB , thanks for investigating this. However, I don't see X-Shopify-Request-ID header in the response. To clarify, our problem is not just happening to test stores. What appears to me is, our app secret key is now only able to retrieve order placed by our own sales channel using the API, for orders placed directly on the website, the API always return 404 not found error. It also happens to production stores that installed our app.

Hi @_JB ,

We have 3 apps, and its only occurring against 1 of them.

The other 2 apps have no issues.

I have tested against 2020-01 as well.

All the stores I tested for the affected applications, all fail to return order details.

Here is a X-Request-ID that I assume you are asking for: 2d85e5cc-298c-478b-82e5-0991d366395b

Hi @_JB, thanks for the help.

I just ran a fresh query and saw this header in the response - is this what you need?

x-request-id: 4593fc8d-6cd2-4817-9368-b0d8d19055c4

This is happening on about 750 production shops that I'm installed on.
