I have checked this query with the app developers team who advised of the following.
They advised that there may be some disruptions to current users but that may be limited depending on the changes that are being introduced. I queried if a renewed app would need to be submitted to the team, but they confirmed that you would not need to resubmit the app to the QA team to approve once you have introduced those new features.
What I will do is I will move this thread to the API/SDK board's where our developer team can reach back out to you directly for further support!
