HI,

Can we create an app proxy for cart page like https://shopifytestshop.myshopify.com/cart, where remote contents can displayed. What will be the values of Sub Path Prefix, Subpath and proxy url fields in case of cart page.

I have tried with values

Sub Path Prefix = a

Subpath = wishlist

proxy Url = https://abc.com/shopify_app_testing/wishlist.html

But this above attemt redirecting me on url https://shopifytestshop.myshopify.com/password when I hit URL https://shopifytestshop.myshopify.com/a/wishlist

Can someone help me out on this.

Thanks

You can also try the FB group Shopify App Developers

@Paul

I have checked FB group but could not find a way to set app proxy for /cart page on store frontend.

Can someone explain here? or atleast is it possible to show custom contents from my server to shopify store's cart page through any feature like api, app proxy etc. ?

Thanks

Sorry - I might have not made it clear enough - my suggestion was to ask on the group I linked too - there is often a more engaged community there than here.

Good luck

I think you misunderstand the use of App Proxy. Let us say a customer is on the cart page as you say, here: https://shopifytestshop.myshopify.com/cart

On this page, you are free as a bird to call your special App Proxy. You can send it any data you want. The App Proxy can respond with Liquid, and or JSON, as an example. So you could return any kind of rich structured data, and use JS to insert that data, on the cart page, and make it look like you want.

You do not need anything special for this to happen. No paths, no URLS, just a regular App Proxy endpoint (you make that), and your JS to call it. You render the results.

@Crinch. Read the documentation Shopify has provided for App Proxy. That is all there is to it. Yes, it is lacking examples, but the flow is simple. You do not send data to the /cart template page. You do a callback to the App Proxy from that page.
